Post Goughists

Originally formed in 1987 the Post Goughists are a collective of artists who acknowledge the Gough Whitlam government’s position on tertiary education during the early-1970’s, as it was these forward thinking initiatives that allowed many members of the Post Goughists to gain access to tertiary education. As a group the Post Goughists come together annually on the anniversary of the sacking of the Whitlam government to celebrate their roots, and to ‘maintain their rage’.
